Scientists in Schools

Social workers and scientists in schools (SWSS)

SWSS is a unique volunteer program for social workers and neuroscientists. Social workers and neuroscientists are trained to deliver a science-based program for middle school youth that provides instruction on the neurobiological foundations of human behavior. Through project-based learning, middle schoolers engage in activities that increase their understanding of fluid intelligence, resilience, and self-efficacy.

Science on tap (neuronyc)

Science on Tap brings together neuroscientists and social workers to discuss neuroscience research and its implications to the diverse practice areas in social work. It is a relaxed atmosphere where the exchange of information and ideas helps to bridge the gap between neuroscience research and social work.
